The school is run under the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society and comes under the Department of Social Welfare.
The school was established in 2016 with the objective of uplifting socially backward communities. The school primarily serves Scheduled Tribe students and currently has 250 students, comprising 125 girls and 125 boys.The school has its own building with separate rooms and is supported by 10 teaching staff and 3 non-teaching staff.
